Dear WSIS-Asia colleagues
Am forwarding a message about supporting a Human rights activist as speaker at
WSIS summit in Tunis--Shirin Ebadi. It was put forward by the Human Rights
Caucus and is gaining wide support (see below).
I ahve been asked whether the Asia Caucus/Family can affix our support as well.
I honestly feel that we can, given that many of the caucuses/groupswho have
signed on have leading members from Asia as well--all who are active in WSIS II.
(e.g., Community Media, Internet Governance, West Asia + AMARC, Open Forum
Cambodia).
I suggest that those who have objections to indicating our support for this to
please post them on this list.
If I do not receive any in the next two days, I shall post to the plenary list
our endorsement by SUNDAY evening. I hope this is OK
Thanks
Al
