Hi All

Have been following the discussions and i agree in principle...

The strategic objective is to prune down the C&T groups to those that are
active and strategic (in relation to the objective in WSIs phase 2)...

HOwever there are some caucuses which are not directly "relevant" to phase
2 but i would hate being "decommissioned" as good content may come out of
them even beyond WSIS (e.g., something like the ICT & Environment/Sus Dev
Group may develop good frameworks and proposals which may be important for
civil society advocacy in the coming years)

Question:
What now are the status of the REgional FAmilies/caucuses? (my impression
is that most if not all are either only semi active, or have splits, or
are not that representative)

I assume regional caucuses like ours are not Content and Themes groups per
se, but our members participate in the various C&T caucuses.
HOw do we fit into the emerging PrepCom structures now...only in teh CSB?

Al
