Dear ParminderGreetings of solidarity from Manila...Sorry I missed Asia Source...I was all ready to leave last Thursday for Ban=galore and looking forward to it, when a personal emergency interceced (my =mother was rushed to the hospital the day before I was supposed to leave)..=.I then sought to postpone my flight but all flights via singapore and bang=kok were booked through the weekend...by that time I had told the organizer=s that I i would miss too much of the workshop to still go... some other ti=me perhaps to visit your great city...With regards to PrepCom2, it is great that you will be able to attend. I my=self am not sure if I can make it. We are trying to see if Angela Kuga Thas= (copied on this msg), a member of the APC Womens' Programme and also my co=-focal point in the Asia Pacific CS "family" in Phase ONe, is able to get a= fellowship. If she does, you should link up... (Others who I know are goin=g are Adam Peake of Glocom Japan and Izumi Aizu--both active in the WGIG)Am not sure how organized the Asian CSOs will be in Geneva this time--proba=bly less are going; but also because people are organizing along more gener=al caucuses: thematic (e.g., Internet Governance, Financing). I will try t=o find out who among our Asian colleagues are attending and of course whoev=er is there should meet up. Here are some of the schedules which may help you decide on your travel pla=ns: (compiled by Karen Banks of APC, sent to the APC WSIS mailing list) bel=owBye for nowAlP.s.
