Hello Friends,

I will also be in Tunis, and I am happy to connect with Izumi and Mavic
and whoever else will be there from Asia. I was invited to be in Tunis
on behalf and as a member of the Francophonie group.

Formerly I had not been much aware of the role of the Institute for New
Technologies and Education of the Francophonie before I was invited to
be on their board - there is, of course, the common background of not
being from the English speaking part of the world, but in terms of
programmatic concerns, it is the emphasis on multi-cultural and
multi-linguistic indenties (to my surprise, there is, at present, not
one French citizen on the board), and I was happy to find also a strong
positive orientation toward OpenSource software.
