Al,
I did not know you need passes to go into formal sessions.
The hk delegation definitely want to attend the formal sessions.

ceremony passes
Thanks Patcha and hi to all
Patcha's list is helpful (as well as the earlier ones posted by John F,
and a few others) as I am also trying to compile the list of Asians in
Geneva for the purpose of preparing a list of those who may want to
attend the Opening Session (and the other formal sessions) of the
Summit.
There are passes for this, but they are limited and have to be
distributed to the broad civil society community. FAmilies (e.g., our
own Asia Pacific
Family) willl have some role in this allocation, but it is not yet a
closed issue as some of us in the Civil Society Bureau want a
combination of of Families PLUS caucuses (content) distributing passes.
IN any case, that is also why I have been asking people on this list to
say if they will be in Geneva--I hope everyone from Asia who is there
can be allocated passes to enter the formal sessions if they want.
Should our list be longer than what is allocated, a system could be
devised so that we could divide the time for people to use these passes,
as they are *transferable*.
Please note also that Asians can also avail of these passes through
OTHER families or caucuses, so it would also help if, when applicable,
you also post on this list who among you are members of other families
or caucues (e..g, YJ in nNetworks/coalitions; Angela, Chat, Susanna,
RAijeli, and Mavie in Gender Strategies WG; Adam in Thinktanks; Norbert
in Internet Governance, and so on and so forth). I imagine that the CSB
will be comparing lists to rule out duplications.
Thanks
Al
P.S. Please pass this on to others you know are coming but are not yet
subscribed to this list. (And please have them subscibe! It is the only
online communication space we have as Asians in WSIS if I am not
mistaken.)
