Just to jump in...

I've seen some of you around and I would say its wonderful you are caucusing
on your own as SIDS/pacific...

However, we technically are still under the regional divisions so Pacific
islands are technically within the Asia Family. Which is fine with us. My
perspective is to get the weight of Asian CSOs behind your proposals. So if
there is a space for endorsement, we can all sign up...

Secondly, if you are meeting up during lunch, that's great because we also
meet up during lunch. The Asians here caucus informally at 12:30 in the CICG
CAnteen (near the escalators) and just have lunch together and informally
swap stories and updates. We have held off calling daily formal meetings for
now, simply because everyone is running around doing other work (csb,
content/themes, other caucuses) that we wanted to fully support that and not
put additional burden on the many who are overworked. So just having a lunch
get together allows us to update each other without formal meeting
structures...

So please link up with us during lunches so we may support your initiatives.

On a personal note, anyone from the Pacific islands can sit in the daily CS
Bureau meetings (now at 2 pm everyday ITU bldg T-103), if you have
non-content/matters to bring up through me as the focal point for Asia...

See you and good luck to all of us in our hectic work...

Al

Abel,

Great idea. Lunchtime is my recommendation because everybody is here. After
6 PM, I see some more breakout groups which may be of interest to us like
Youth, etc and also Olivier catches a tram all the way to France everyday.
Otherwise, any time you suggest would be fine for me.

Sam

PS. WHo else of our group have you got their email? We just include it
because email is good to pass around our daily briefings as well for
reporting after Prepcom 3.

Sam,

What happened to Olivier, OPT?

We should meet every day or every 2 days to discuss PC3 updates/events,
and
Summit ICT4D Pacific Pavilion. GKP are here and want to confirm our
Oceania/Pacific participation.

Cheers,
Abel

Tai, Sam:
Please see note below from Al Alegre to the Asia Pacific "family".
It's the civil society group that's trying to coordinate for our
region (been active since before the Tokyo regional meeting.)
Sam I'm not sure if you are attending PrepCom3 as civil society or an
international organization, but anyway I thought you'd like to see
this, and expect you would be very welcome to met with the group.
(Abel cc'd for info -- govt. but we won't hold that against him :-)
If you know of anyone else attending from the Pacific please forward.
Al: met Tai Purcell and Sam Taufao. Good people both.
Sorry I won't be seeing you in Geneva.
Thanks,
Adam
PS. Izumi arrives for the 2nd week.
