<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I basically agree with Angela's suggestions =
except for one
important omission--herself!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I would therefore put her in number one (given =
her crucial
role in the Paris intersessionals, I am deferring to her leadership in
representing us as focal point in the CSB; this of course assuming that =
there
are no other takers for this thankless job--owing to the fact that I =
have posted
this representation question 2 or 3 times before with practically no
response.)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>If we therefore have a priority list, it would =
be I
suggest as Angela outlined the names. The first five would include her. =
I think
that either of the two Isis names could give way and slide down to =
the
waiting list (next five) Anyway, as we heard the Gender Family will also =
endorse
some of their names for scholarship.)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>It would therefore look like this: </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>priority list of 5: the 2 focal points (for now, =
Angela
and myself); 1 from the youth; 1 from the Gender Caucus; 1 from Pacific. =
<FONT
face=Arial>The others could follow in a waiting list. =
</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>(If Angela or myself or any other one is =
successful in
finding other funds, then the waiting list comes into play if CSD funds =
are
still available)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>(In fact this could be a precursor to a process =
we can
follow as well for the Summit itself.)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>If there will still be an opportunity later =
(assuming some
funds are available from somewhere), I would also like to put in =
additional
possible nominees based on country equity and past work done for the =
caucus
(from developing countries only I am afraid):</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>- India: Jaba Menon</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>- Thailand: Sacha Jotisalikorn</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>- Nepal: Gaurab Uphadaya (where are you,
man?)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>- Malaysia: Arfa'eza A Aziz</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>(They would have to be all registered by the =
15th though,
and can be able to be part of an accredited org--as with all our
nominees)</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>4. David Leeming, Solomon Islands, RVDA [most likely will come =
under
SPC's accreditation; did not apply for fellowship but I'd like to push =
for his

consultation]</DIV></DIV>
<DIV>5. Raijeli Nicole, Isis International Manila [considering Al's =
point that

<DIV>6. Chat Garcia Ramilo, Philippines, APC [note: needs only partial =
funding

<DIV>7. Robert Sagun, Philippines, Taking IT Global (Youth family; =
nominated
by Youth focal point)</DIV>
<DIV>8. Mavic Belleza, Philippines, Isis International</DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV>9. Another application may be missing from the list. This would =
be from
Chetan Sharma, Datamation India. Chetan Sharma is also attending the =
Gender
and ICTs Forum and self-sponsored travel after being told that there =
weren't
anymore fellowships. The commitment seems genuine. I would include =
this as my
next nominee if CSD confirms this application. </DIV>
<DIV>10. Reza Salim, Bangladesh, BFES</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I am open to discussing my line-up above. We have good support =
from the
Gender Caucus for all gender advocates from this region. These are =
Susanna
George, Chat Garcia Ramilo, Mavic Belleza and Raijeli Nicole. While =
three may
come from Isis International itself, all three are of different =
nationalities,
and hence would contribute to the diverse representation that we'd =
need.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The Youth Caucus nominees for this region were Sunit and Robert =
as you
had all seen in Nick's e-mail which Al forwarded to the list.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Maybe we should push for a minimum of 10 delegates to be =
sponsored? It's
important that these are able to play an effective role in responding =
to and
drafting for content on issues pertinent to the region and for =
cross-cutting
issues globally.</DIV>

<DIV>Warm regards,</DIV>
