One thing - if people go on a fellowship, perhaps you could try to
make it a condition that they join this list and give us some
feedback during the PrepCom!

I would go one (or several steps further): if people go on a fellowship,
they should not only join this list by make a sincere effort to integrate
with the Asian family (attend meetings/caucuses,
planning/strategizing/evaluating, even solidarity events like joint meals
etc.).

I hope they would also be willing to take on some work for the Family
(e.g., rapporteuring, posting on site updates to the mailing list,
secretariat/and logistic work) -- which is behind the scenes work which is
so important to the life of our Asian Caucus/Family... (of course being
mindful that people will sometimes be in other families as well--Gender,
Youth--or committees--Content and Themes). The challenge is to be
complementary, isn't it?

I also hope people will commit to present to the group some sort of
post-activity report, which could be the basis for a regional report we can
do to inform our colleagues not in Geneva...

By and large, my experience with most Asian fellows during the PrepComs has
been edifying and heartwarming, because of a high sense of camaraderie,
sacrifice, and responsibility of most. But of course it could be better...
by the time of the Summit, CS should be like a well-oiled machine! :-)

Peace
Al
