Hi there... Consider Ina from Niue as a Pacific rep... (I am following =
up
with Claire on why she was not on the list which I think must be an
oversight). I know the numbers are really tight...

Cheers

I don't feel at all qualified to recommend anyone in particular, but =
some
comments on a few of the applicants from our region:

Isis are an important regional organization. Isis staff have made
significant contributions to regional meetings, PrepComs and work of =
groups
like CRIS.

I believe Varsha (World Youth Foundation) attended the CONGO meeting =
last
November in Bangkok. I think she would be familiar with the issues.

Literary Academy for Dalit of Nepal (LAD Nepal) applied to attend the
regional meeting in Tokyo and we had hoped to bring them on a =
fellowship,
but they had problems getting a visa at short notice for Japan. Couldn't
make it.

No applicant from the Pacific, which is a shame as they have begun to =
get
involved since the Tokyo regional meeting. And the Pacific is struggling =
in
that some text they want in the declaration was cut during the Paris
meeting. Would be good to have a NGO at PrepCom3 to support the =
government
reps. We tried to bring a group called People's First Network from the
Solomon Islands to the Tokyo regional meeting, but their representative =
got
stuck in a sudden work stoppage at the local airport and missed the only
flight! Would be very good if you could recommend someone from there.
Person we'd hoped to get to Tokyo was David Leeming.

One thing - if people go on a fellowship, perhaps you could try to make =
it a
condition that they join this list and give us some feedback during the
PrepCom!

Hope this is of some help.

Thanks,

Adam
