Follow-up to Angela's repost of Karen Bank's report (see below).
===============
Hi.
A few notes:
1. MAILING LIST POSTS ON WSIS
This ends for me the task of reposting stuff coming out of the Paris
intersessional.
Ideally, if people were already subscribed to the CS plenary list (which is
open to all and was announced a couple of months ago on our list as well),
you have been getting 2 copies of the posts, and Angela's and my reposting
of materials is redundant. Apologies for those who got double messages. I
just thought that maybe for some who did not get into the Plenary list on
time, they would be missing important stuff.
Again, now that we all have a flavor of the work towards WSIS PrepCom3
(coming in mid-September), I will now reiterate the invitation to just
subscribe to the CS Plenary list (details below). This is in line with the
rationalization of WSIS mailing lists that will happen all over.
Plenary mailing list
Plenary@wsis-cs.org
http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/plenary
A few of us are in the Content and Themes list (ct@wsis-cs.org). For those
who want to join that, please contact Angela (one of those I know is on that
list) for subscription details.
2. NEXT STEPS
Angela is preparing a post on updates and implications of the Paris
discussions to regional families like us. (Of course we are also expecting
other Asians who were there to supplement this.) I hope we monitor and react
accordingly. The recent silence of many on this list may just be an
indicative that many of us are just mointoring and abosrbing all the
reports. I hope that is the case.
3. WHO ARE PLANNING TO GO TO PREPCOM3
But just to get an indication for now, can people who are planning to go to
PrepCom3 please indicate so in a note to the list so we may build up a
possible "asian delegation list" early enough.
Supplementary question: who among of us have (like me) applied/registered
for PrepCom3, and who have applied for scholarship? (If I am not mistaken ,
the deadline passed on 12 July.)
Thats all for now. Thanks for your patience. Regards to all.
Al
