Information Sessions on the WSIS preparatory process
The Permenant Mission of Greece in Geneva, through the intermediary of =
the CSD / WSIS Executive Secretariat, is inviting all civil society =
entities present in Geneva for the afternoon information session to =
attend an information session on the involvement and state of play of =
European Union Member States in the Summit preparatory process. This =
session will be held in Geneva (Council Secretariat, 2 Chemin Louis =
Dunant) on Monday 23 June from 10:30 to 12:00. All participants should =
register in advance at wsis.csd@ties.itu.int =20
This timing was set in order to target the same audience expected to =
participate in the information session to be organised by the President =
of the Prepcom, Mr. Samassekou, at 15:00 on the same day. This latter =
session was originally intended for the UN Permanent Missions in Geneva, =
however, Mr. Samassekou has expressed the wish to see civil society =
participation. Civil society entities who have the possibility to =
attend both information sessions (EU at 10:30 and WSIS at 15:00) next =
Monday 23 June are very welcome to do so.
