Thanks for your mail and sorry for the tight timetables.

As I explained, this really is just an offshoot ("piggyback") on a Southeast
Asian workshop we are having this week. It was only recently when we found
out there may be some money  (not very much; only for 2-3 people) to invite
nonSoutheast Asians. Since it is a short meeting, we decided to sound off
those who were already very active in the previous meetings, and therefore
had already a shared understanding.

We really are still a bit weak in networking SouthAsians--ironic, as I know
very active people and organizations on this issue. So your enthusiasm
indicates you could be one of several focal points for SouthAsian
outreach...

Please continue to inform this list about your efforts... and good luck
