Hi Sacha,

Thank you for your mail, and I would also like to acknowledge Ubonrat and
Adam's mail in this context.

I would love to share my experience with others, but I am extremely tied up
with one project till the 6th Feb, so I was wondering whether Izumi would
take the lead and i could supplement that!
Alternatively, I would put down a short note after the 6th....is that a fair
request?

On a lighter note, my participation at this conference provided me with an
opportunity to get to know some of my colleagues better...that was great !

Warm regards.

Dear Jaba,

I would like to thank you, Hamada-san and Iszumi-san for your work on the
drafting committee (or should we refer to it now as the informal
consultative
drafting group).

If I may report to the rest of the mail list, all three of our friends made
diligent, tireless efforts on behalf of civil society/NGOs to get our
concerns
into the draft statement. Many times, they worked while others were having
meals and late into the night. Some points we were sucessful in including,
while on some other we were not. And thanks to other members during the
public
feedback sessions for maintaining our presence and keeping our feet in the
door.

While we might have different perspectives on the result of final statement
I
don't think we can deny that without any of these valuable efforts by
everyone
involved we would have an even more completely different statement.

Perhaps our three drafting committee delegates could share some of their
experiences with those of us who could not be in Tokyo. Your insights would
be
valuable in helping us to prepare for Perpcom 2 as well.

Sacha
