Dear John,

Thank you for sending your feeling and conversation with China's
representative. I was not in Tokyo but could learnt it only through
some Taipei's press coverage of the episode. For many of us living in
Taiwan, it's not a surprise to know  China  responded in this way, but
could
you please explain, if you could spare some time, what exactly the
China's representative meant when he said China is not against the Civil
Society but in the meantime could not allow Taiwan's NGO to participate?

Could it be possible that we convey a message to China whenever any
appropriate opportunity arises next time that if they treat Taiwna's
NGO more nicely it may actually a boost, rather than a hindrance, to
her idea of having a unified China.
