Hi,
The Japanese NGO committee had meeting today and we agreed the
followings, may I propose and confirm them?
A) We need to come up one person from AP NGO to the
official Drafting Committee, in addition to the one from Japan.
From Japan, Izumi Aizu will be the one, together with Tadahisa Hamada
as alternate.
So could you nominate someone, with possible alternate?
They said only one can be in the committee meeting at a time, but
can ask to alter to alternate person in case needed.
B) NGO meetings:
1) Open Meeting by AP NGO Coordination Committee for WSIS
5 pm to 7 pm
Jan 11 - Committee Room 2 & 3, 5th Floor, UNU
Jan 12 - Reception Hall, 2nd Floor UNU
- exchange each side event discussions
- discuss about the NGO Panel on Jan 13
- discuss about Final Declaration and its drafting process
- AOB
2) Meeting to discuss about the Declaration
Morning of Jan 14, prehaps from 10 am to 11am or so.
Room - Conference Hall, pararell room, Takanawa Prince Hotel
(next to the main conference room)
3) Post-conference Meeting
2 pm - 4 pm (roughly)
at GLOCOM (unless otherwise decided), 15-20 min taxi ride,
1000 to 1200 yen.
Anything else?
C) Daily report?
This is my "personal" proposal,
Since so many NGOs are interested, bu unfortunatelly not all can come to Tokyo,
it might be a good idea to try to write-up Conference Report,
with possible new mailing list, to share our meeting, ideally daily.
Are there any volunteers who can do this? That will be great!
