Dear Izumi Aizu and others,
Thank you for your information and efforts for coordination!
I prefer to have the name of "Asia Pacific NGO Coordination Committee for
WSIS" (AP-NGO CCW)
And regarding the composition and tasks, I basically agree to your
proposal. And I would like to underline the balance of gender and
sub-regions in the composition of committee persons. Also, I hope Japan
NGO Committee to coordinate together with the AP NGO coordination
committee. It could be more realistic rather than to depend fully on AP
NGO coordination committee.
Then, I have one question to be clarified. Here, you are using the term of
Asian Pacific representing our region. Could you provide some information
about what has been done in Pacific region in relation to WSIS process?
For me, in our Asian NGO community, this seems to be a new thing
particularly concerned with WSIS issues. Why should we use such a term?
And Who are representing Pacific region NGOs?
Given the burden to be worked out, we may not have enough time. I will
arrive on the 11th of January afternoon. So, if I could help you, don't
hesitate to say it to me. Thank you again!
Regards,
Chun Eung Hwi
